Dalai Lama returns to Emory in October

The Dalai Lama will be back in Atlanta Oct. 8-10 to talk about responsible citizenship, ethics and education.

As Presidential Distinguished Professor at Emory University, the Dalai Lama provides private teaching sessions with students and faculty during Emory study-abroad programs in Dharamsala, India, as well as opportunities for university community members to attend his annual teachings. Just Announced: The Fresh Beat Band

ATLANTA, GA, April 16, 2013 – The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon’s preschool music group and stars of the hit TV series of the same name, are giving fans one more chance to see them live as they hit the road again for 60 performances on their nationwide concert tour. The live concert comes to The Arena at Gwinnett Center on January, 23, 2014 at 7PM. The wildly popular The Fresh Beat Band Live in Concert Tour will resume on Nov. 12, 2013 in San Antonio, TX.  The band will travel to theaters in new markets and revisit places including New York City’s Theater at Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater L.A. Lingerie football team heats up Arena in season opener

DULUTH -- The atmosphere was electric as more than 2,000 fans showed up for the Atlanta Steam's home opener in the Legend's Football League at the Arena at the Gwinnett Center.

In the end, all went home happy as the Steam bulldozed the Omaha Heart 42-6.

AEG’s Axs Ticketing has scored a new client in The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.

The venue will launch the new ticketing platform during the April 12 onsale for an upcoming Muse concert, with additional shows and events to be announced.

“This system has a lot of new features that our ticket buyers will find beneficial, including free ticket delivery options,” Gwinnett Center GM Joseph Dennis said. “We are eager for everyone to experience what AXS can do.”  Read more...


Gwinnett Arena drops Ticketmaster

DULUTH -- If you missed the group at the free Final Four concert on Saturday, British trio Muse is coming to the Arena at Gwinnett Center with special guests, Cage the Elephant, the arena announced Monday.

But if you want to purchase tickets, you can't look them up on Ticketmaster anymore. The Gwinnett Center is transitioning to AXS Ticketing, which was developed by and is operated by AEG. The Duluth venue announced its partnership with the Los Angeles-based international sports, entertainment and venue organization in March.

"Ticketmaster has been a great partner for about 16 years, but we just felt it was time to change," Gwinnett Center General Manager Joseph Dennis said. "We're excited about AXS and its innovative systems."  Read more...
